Listings on Work When Free are posted by other users. We do not verify identities, phone numbers, or the jobs themselves, and we are not a party to any arrangement made after contact details are shared. Please read these points before you agree to anything.
Before you contact anyone
- Read the whole listing. Be careful with vague tasks, unusually high amounts for very little work, or descriptions that avoid saying what the job actually is.
- Check that the hours and the amount look reasonable for the task. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
- Remember that nobody on this platform should ask you to pay to get a job. We never charge workers, and neither should a poster.
Never pay or share these
- Registration fees, training fees, deposits, security money, or any payment to be considered for a job.
- Bank account details, card numbers, one-time passwords, or account passwords.
- Copies of identity documents before you have met and agreed on real work.
- Money sent to receive a package, process a payment, or forward funds to someone else.
When you meet or start work
- Speak on the phone first and confirm the details match the listing.
- Meet in a public place where possible, in daylight, and tell someone you trust where you are going.
- Agree the amount, the hours, and how you will be paid before you begin.
- Do not travel far or take on cost before anything is confirmed.
- Stop and walk away if the person pressures you, changes the terms, or asks for money.
Report a problem
Use the Report button on any listing to flag it. We may remove listings that appear misleading, unsafe, or outside the intended use of the service. If you have been asked for money or you believe a listing is a scam, report it and email support@workwhenfree.com
If you feel unsafe or believe a crime has taken place, contact your local authorities first.
